ROYALS COLLECTION
The lapis lazuli was discovered and mined by the Egyptians over 6000 years ago and has since been a symbol of eternal life and prosperity. The Egyptians used it to make jewellery such as amulets or bracelets, which should help the wearer to be associated with the sun god and its creative power. At the height of the Egyptian empire, lapis lazuli was more valuable than gold, which is why it was only worn by pharaohs and royal families. Even during the Renaissance, sapphire-blue of lapis lazuli was considered a sacred colour (sacre bleu), which is why it was ground into a powder and then used to paint iconic works of art in historic cathedrals across Europe. And nowadays, lapis lazuli enjoys a very high reputation due to its beautiful colour and texture and is preferred used for high-quality jewellery. Due to high demand, we decided to offer our most popular bracelets from our Royals Collection again exclusively in a small and limited number of pieces.
